A beef quesadilla is a type of Mexican dish that is commonly found in restaurants in the USA. It is made by filling a tortilla with various ingredients, such as cheese, meat (in this case, beef), and vegetables, and then grilling it until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy.

To make a beef quesadilla, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef (such as skirt steak or flank steak)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds and ribs removed, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar, Monterey jack, or a Mexican blend)
  • Sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, for serving (optional)
  • Instructions:

    1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper (if using) and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

    2. Add the beef to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.

    3. Place a tortilla in a separate skillet or on a griddle over medium heat. Sprinkle half of the tortilla with 1/2 cup of cheese, and then top with 1/4 of the beef and vegetable mixture.

    4. Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melted.

    5. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more quesadillas.

    6. Cut the quesadillas into wedges and serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, if desired.

You can also add other ingredients such as beans, corn, mushrooms etc as per your preference. Enjoy your meal!
