Banana Nutella

Banana Nutella is not a dish that you will commonly find already prepared on the menu at restaurants in the United States. However, it's easy to create a dish with banana and Nutella at home or request a custom order at a restaurant.

Nutella is a sweet spread made from sugar, modified palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk powder, and vanillin (an artificial flavoring). It is popular in many countries and often used as a spread on toast or bread, or as a filling in crepes.

Banana Nutella can be as simple as sliced bananas and Nutella spread on bread or toast. Here are some other ideas:

- Grilled Banana Nutella Sandwich: Spread Nutella on one side of each slice of bread. Place banana slices on top of one slice, then place the other slice of bread, Nutella side down, on top. Grill in a panini press or on a griddle until the bread is toasted and the Nutella is melted.

- Banana Nutella Crepes: Make or buy crepes, then spread Nutella on one half of each crepe. Place banana slices on top of the Nutella, then fold the crepe in half to enclose the filling.

- Banana Nutella French Toast: Prepare French toast as you normally would, then spread Nutella on one side of each slice. Top with banana slices before serving.

- Banana Nutella Smoothie: Blend together banana slices, Nutella, milk or yogurt, and ice until smooth.

- Banana Nutella Pizza: Spread Nutella on a pre-made pizza crust or puff pastry sheet. Top with banana slices and bake in the oven until the crust is golden brown and the Nutella is melted.

You can request a custom order of a Banana Nutella dish at many restaurants, especially those with a breakfast or brunch menu. If you have a favorite breakfast dish, such as pancakes or waffles, you can ask the restaurant to top it with banana slices and Nutella.
